Dental Hygiene Department Hosts Annual Give Kids a Smile Day Event

Eastern International College’s Dental Hygiene Program participated in the annual Give Kids a Smile Day Event on February 15, 2022 at EIC’s Dental Hygiene Clinic. The students and faculty of the department had the opportunity to provide some local children with oral health education and some preventative services. Some of the available preventative services included free oral examinations, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride and sealant treatments. Lastly, the kids received some goodie bags with oral health supplies to take home.

The Dental Hygiene Program has been participating in the American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile program, annually since 2015. Now on its seventh year the DH department joined many throughout the country in this one-day event.
