BS in Health Leadership Completion Program

Program Description

The Bachelor of Science in Health Leadership Completion Program is designed for allied health professionals who have completed Associate Degrees in any allied health field or health-related programs. It is intended for those who desire career advancement in healthcare related jobs and wish to assume positions of leadership. The HL program teaches students theoretical knowledge and skills to compete beyond entry-level positions in the field. Students complete 30 quarter credits of upper division General Education courses and 60 quarter credits of major courses.

Upon completion of the program, the student should be able to:

  • Use theories of leadership and organizational behavior to define management practices in multicultural healthcare settings.
  • Explore the legal and ethical principles and responsibilities of healthcare organizations and healthcare professionals.
  • Apply principles of finance and budgeting to the management of resources within a healthcare organization
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data for evidence-based decision-making leading to continuous quality improvement in healthcare settings.
  • Explore the impact of healthcare policy and politics on the delivery of healthcare services.
  • Explain the impact of technology and informatics on the delivery of healthcare services.

  • Completed an Associate degree in a health-related program or allied health field from an accredited institution.
